Carlos Aured Alonso was a Spanish film director and screenwriter associated with the Spanish horror cinema of the 1970s, commonly known as fantaterror. He is particularly known for his collaborations with actor and screenwriter Paul Naschy, including Horror Rises from the Tomb (1973), El Retorno de Walpurgis (1973), Blue Eyes of the Broken Doll (1974) and The Mummy's Revenge. Following the decline of Spain's horror film cycle, Aured increasingly worked in erotic cinema during the country's transition to democracy.
