Oskar Messter

Oskar Messter was a German inventor and film tycoon in the early years of cinema. His firm Messter-Film was one of the dominant German production films before it was swallowed up by UFA in 1917, being one of the three original firms which constituted the cartel, along with Paul Davidson's PAGU and the German branch of Nordisk Film.
