Kylie Aoibheann is a trans Australian writer, director and editor based in Melbourne.
Her short supernatural horror The Dysphoria won awards at Fantastic Fest, Brooklyn Horror Film Festival and Melbourne Queer Film Festival and was nominated at the 58th AWGIE Awards. The Dysphoria also screened at such festivals as Melbourne International Film Festival, Fantasia, Palm Springs International ShortFest, Tampere, BFI Flare, Odense and Beyond Fest.
Aoibheann’s other short films include the psychological horror See for Yourself, streaming in Australia on national broadcaster ABC iView, and upcoming body horror What’s Between Your Legs, shortlisted for an Emerging Writers’ Award by the Australian Writers' Guild. She is an alumni of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) Directors' Lab and Australians in Film (AiF) Untapped Lab.
